Top Nine Worst Monkey Pics
Not all of the Monkey's photos come out as planned. Most of the time the blame for a bad Monkey shot falls squarely on the shoulders of the Monkey's photographer, though on occasion the Monkey gets impatient posing and decides to jump out of the way just as the shutter opens. Long Beach, California, U.S.A.

Ah, Southern California… The sun. The sand. The beautiful people. The glamour. The concrete base of a bronze plaque?! One of the only shots the Monkey took in Southern California, and not worth the paper it's printed on.

General Assembly, United Nations HQ

The Monkey paused at Cuba's desk in the General Assembly, with its famed podium with green marble back-drop and the UN insignia hovering in the background. Of course, his photographer's mastery of the intricacies of flash photography delivered this hauntingly awful memento.

Florence, Italy.

Another perfectly discharged flash leads to a stellar photograph. Way to waste the scenery…

Trier, Germany.

Put your sunglasses on, Monkey. Aside from the intense light, this shot was spoiled by the child at left's intense pain after being stung by a wasp.

Antwerp, Belgium.

The Monkey gets irradiated and seems to hop off the ground. Admittedly, the scenery behind the bar isn't too bad.

Dublin, Ireland.

Nice house, but you probably don't need the Route 13 bus schedule.

London, England, United Kingdom.

This is supposed to be the Monkey's portrait at London's famous Admiralty Arch, the ceremonial gateway that opens onto the Mall that leads to Buckingham Palace. Of course, with a busted light meter, no flash, and an awkward angle on the subject, you'd be forgiven for not recognizing it.

Loveland Pass, Colorado, United States.

Ostensibly a great nature shot for the Monkey, this photograph also reveals the importance of having a functioning light meter on your camera. It was a cloudy day, but a bright one. A lost opportunity.

Istanbul, Turkey.

Lights… Camera… Hey, lights! Believe it or not, the Monkey is posing in a 1600+ year-old cistern in the heart of old Istanbul. Behind him, rows of tall columns emanate into the darkness. Alas, all this picture caught was the darkness.
