Free the Slaves

27 million people are slaves. Yes, slaves. Yes, today. Although banned in every country, slavery continues to exist in insidious forms, from trafficking for sexual exploitation, to forced labor in factories and farms, to forms of debt bondage, domestic servitude, and ritualistic slavery. It affects children, women, and men everywhere.

Free the Slaves is a U.S.-based nonprofit organization dedicated to ending slavery in all its forms. Visit their website to learn more about the many faces of modern slavery and how you can help end it—by volunteering, raising awareness, shopping for gifts made by former slaves, or donating. You may be surprised what impact even a small donation can make toward freeing a fellow human from slavery.
