27 million people are slaves. Yes, slaves. Yes, today. Although banned in every country, slavery continues to exist in insidious forms, from trafficking for sexual exploitation, to forced labor in factories and farms, to forms of debt bondage, domestic servitude, and ritualistic slavery.
